Bway 7 productions an audio-visual production company established by filmmaker, writer, director and Producer Patrick Jerome. Since 1993 Patrick has worked as a film writer, producer and director in the Greater Boston area. Under his leadership, his company has produced feature-length movies, documentaries, music videos and a vast array of television programming. Bway 7 Productions strives to produce highly professional commercial products for movie theaters and television. These cinematic offerings are designed to be distributed locally and internationally.
1991 saw the production of the company’s first full-length film. “Ruthless Gang”, set in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This film addressed the social and political issues of the day in this often turbulent country. The film was a major success, receiving national and international acclaim from the movie industry. A special commendation was given to Bway 7 productions by the Haitian National Theater Director, Yves Medar, also known as “Rassoul Labuchin”, for its cultural and artistic contribution to Haiti.
From 1992 to the present time, Bway 7 Productions has produced more than thirty (30) music videos for artist in North and South America and the Caribbean. One of the most acclaimed group. Another video, shot in Atlanta, Georgia in August 2003, for the band Da Godz was broadcasted on Boston station WCEA-TV as well as nationally on BET (Black Entertainment Television).
In 1998, Bway 7 Productions introduced its first television series, International Rhythms. In the year 2000, Bway 7 Productions produced a major super16mm feature length movie called “Deportation”, which was presented in several film festivals across the United States included the Roxbury Film Festival in Boston. In 2002, this film was also presented at the New York International Film Festival, the Las Vegas Film Festival, and the Los Angeles International Film and Video Festival. In 2003 it was presented at the Boston International Film Festival. In 2001, the company also produced another feature length movie entitled, “Power Moves Sisters”, which is currently in distribution.
Immediately after the release of Deportation, Bway 7 Productions introduced, “Holla At Me” another full-length feature. This film was presented at the Tribeca Film Center in New York and the Boston International Film Festival, both in 2004. “Holla At Me” recently obtain a distribution deal through IMAGE ENTERTAINMENT.
Additionally, in 2002, Bway 7 Productions created and produced the Boston International Film Festival. The inaugural festival was a remarkable success and was enthusiastically supported by Boston Major Thomas Menino and the Governor of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney. This unique festival has presented movies from over 47 countries and has received more than 250 films and has hosted more than 20,000 independent moviegoers. These annual film festival, will prove to be major promotional tools for future Bway 7 Productions projects.
Going forward, Bway 7 Productions will continue to produce and exhibit the highest quality film productions and hopes to gain the recognition of the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences. Bway 7 Production also looks forward to establish itself as a major motion picture organization focusing on films that are highly cost effective and designed for both domestic and international markets.
